July in Valencia is a riot! Wherever you are in the comunidad in July (and August) you are likely to fall upon a fiesta. There are enough summer fiestas in the Comunidad de Valencia to fill a book. Really! Annually there are over 650 fiestas and the majority of them take place in Summer. Almost ever town or village will hold a fiesta that can be as short as a few days and as long as three weeks! Dances and dinners, concerts and bullruns, fireworks and paellas - all under the stars and running until the early (cooler) hours of the morning.
Valencia city is, of course, no exception. The Feria de Julio is their month long Fiesta, which this year has more activities than ever down at the port and the beach. Here is the full programme.

Now is your best chance to grab the opportunity to see a bullfight but hurry and get tickets soon - they sell out really fast. Don't forget, if you want to stay cool, pay more and book seats in Sombra. If you sit in Sol seats, cover yourself in lotion, wear a hat and take a fan! (but, ladies, beware there is a language of the fan, see here!)
