If you want books and music in Valencia - possibly the best is the excellent fnac, good selection of English books, excellent music and hifi, dvd, computer section too.
For books only there is the nearest thing to anything in the UK is Casa de Libro, a lovely shop with a very good English section.
For CDs and dvds, it's back to El Corte Ingles and the Hypermarkets, Carrefour and Al Campo
Of course, the other way to buy books and all manner of things is through Amazon - there's a link direct to their site on the right, just click the logo, you'll be amazed at their prices and how inexpensive and quick their delivery is to Spain.
